Mestre Ombrinho
Head Instructor & founder of Capoeira Angola Quintal, Mestre Ombrinho is a disciple under Gran Mestre Nô. In March 2023 he was awarded the prestigious Berimbau de Ouro to honor a lifetime of teaching Capoeira Angola. He is dedicated to making the complex art of Capoeira Angola accessible to people of all backgrounds & abilities.
Contra Mestre Morena
Starting capoeira as a shy teenager, Contra Mestre Morena soon blossomed into an amazing Capoeirista. She dedicated herself to helping Mestre Ombrinho in NYC school programs & classes at the academy for a number of years & has been to Brazil to learn from our base. Her use of the fundamentals of Capoeira Angola are phenomenal & her classes/workshops are outstanding.
Contra Mestre Giratorio
A hard working Capoeirista, Contra Mestre Giratorio has developed his own style of floreios. He has also created ways to break down moves, as well as tips to make complicated moves more accessible. He graduated to Contra Mestre under Mestre Ombrinho & continues to participate in events along the Eastern Seaboard.
